Titans of Service in Action
Discovery High School recognizes community service hours by placing a seal on the diploma. The objective of community service is to provide an opportunity for students to make meaningful connections and enrich the lives of others by performing service for their community. Ultimately, the goal is for students to develop and demonstrate character traits essential for building stronger communities and promoting civic engagement among their peers. Students must accumulate 100 total hours of community service to receive a seal on the diploma. The 100 hours can be accumulated throughout the high school years at Discovery High School.
For further details, please read and print the Community Service Agreement and Community Service Activity Log below. Also, you may come to the Counseling Office (room 106) to get the forms. Both forms must be completed and submitted to the Counseling Office by April 21, 2017 for seniors and 9th- 11th graders by May 1, 2017. Thank you for your service!
