•November—make sure you are studying for the SAT (for free) https://www.khanacademy.org/sat
•Nov. 22-late registration for the SAT test date of Dec. 3rd
•Nov. 30th and Dec. 1st-Those needing to pay senior dues ($175 which does increase to $200 on Feb. 1) with cash may do so during lunch. Mrs. Youmans will have a table set up in the Commons. When you pay these, you will need to know an accurate height and weight for your cap and gown. You can also pay these on www.mypaymentsplus.com
•Dec. 3rd—SAT test date (check for all available dates at https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register/dates-deadlines). Also, check out the ACT. http://www.act.org.
•December & January--
•Have you paid your Junior Dues? You need to pay these in order to go to Prom. Senior Dues cover the costs of cap & gown, your actual diploma, the diploma cover, graduation costs, senior week activities, your senior t-shirt, 10 graduation announcements and a yearbook (to receive the yearbook and graduation announcements—dues must be paid in full by March 1st).
•Create a resume of your GPA, SAT scores, clubs and activities in which you’ve been involved, sports and awards, etc. Go ahead and ask a couple of teachers to write you a generic recommendation letter and give them this resume. They’ll be able to make you sound even MORE awesome than you already are! You will need these for scholarships and some applications.
•Complete any college applications that you need to and check websites for colleges who have a time period in which they waive their application fee.
•Make sure you have had a senior picture taken and that the yearbook staff and advisor (Dr. Body) has it.
•Register by Dec. 21st for the Jan. 21st SAT Exam. Late Registration for this test ends on Jan. 10th.
•January—Assess your 1st semester performance. Make sure you are still on track for graduation. If you have a need to make up a class, IMMEDIATELY check with Counseling Office for options. (Credit Recovery, Phoenix, GOC, etc.)
•January 11—Senior meeting during advisement (do not miss this).
•January 31st– For those who need to pay senior dues with cash before dues go up to $200 on Feb. 1—Mrs. Youmans will have a table in the Commons to accept cash payment. Others may pay online at www.mypaymentsplus.com. This is the LAST DAY OF $175.00 Senior Dues.
•See Mrs. Larkin in College & Career office as often as possible to check out scholarships.
•Give your resume of high school accomplishments to several teachers and ask them to write you letters of recommendation.
•Make sure that you and your parents/guardians do your tax returns early so that you can apply for financial aid and HOPE.
•Feb. 1st—Senior Dues are now $200 if you have not paid.
•Feb. 5th—Deadline to register for the March 5th SAT.
•Feb. 7th—Scholastic Images (Balfour) will be here in the Commons during all lunches for you to order graduation announcements and class rings.
•March 2nd—Cap and Gown Pictures with Magic Moments Photography
•March—Class of 2017 Group Picture—Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and Inspirational Speaker will be announced at this assembly of the graduating class.
MARCH--Graduation dates are Released usually mid-March to late March.
•April 24th-April 28th—Senior Week--activities and dress days TBA

•April—Go by the Counseling Office and complete a request for a final transcript to be sent to your college. If you are playing a sport, check on items you need to do for the NCAA Clearinghouse. (Talk to your coach and your counselor).
•May--TBA—Cap and Gown distribution at lunch in the Commons.
When you get home, take your cap and gown out of the bag, hang it up and it will begin to “un-wrinkle.” DO NOT wait to take it out of the package the day of graduation!
•May 12th—Senior Walk—(in your cap and gown)
•May—Honors/Awards Night—Mrs. Larkin and Mrs. Smith are in charge of Honors Night and will be announcing that date in the spring.
•May—Graduation and Graduation Practice are To Be Determined. However, please note: Graduation Practice is required for those that are walking in Graduation.
